In this regard, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), as a new class of regulatory molecules, are considered to be extremely important in understanding the etiology, pathogenesis, search for new therapies, diagnosis and control of many diseases, including cardiovascular diseases. According to our hypothesis, dysregulation of lncRNA expression is crucial for the dysregulation of the following fundamental processes in adaptation and pathology: hypoxia, autophagy, PPAR signaling, activation of ATP-sensitive potassium channels, and formation of neutrophil extracellular traps. Using different models of cardiovascular pathology and clinical material, we plan to study the role of lncRNAs in the above processes at the level of lncRNA, mRNA, protein, microRNA expression, enzyme activity, morphological and functional level, and ultrastructural level.
