The wheat hybrids carrying the Gpc-B1 gene, which contributes to the increase of protein and valuable trace elements in grain, were identified. The structure of the promoters of TaEPF1, TaEPF2 and TaMUTE genes was modeled on the basis of the reference wheat genome. The promoter regions of TaEPF1, TaEPF2 and TaMUTE genes from different wheat subgenomes were amplified and sequenced, and their structural organization and significant subgenomic polymorphism were clarified. The influence of rol genes on the growth rate of “heary” roots and activation of secondary metabolism in experimental lines of wormwood Artemisia tilesii was proved.
