The subject of the study is a set of theoretical, methodological, scientific and practical aspects of improving and increasing the efficiency of managing the activities of business entities through the introduction of the latest information and analytical support systems. Research methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of this research work is the general scientific methods of cognition. The realization of the research objective is based on a systematic approach to the analysis of economic phenomena, in particular, on the fundamental provisions of economic theory, as well as the theory of competitive analysis, data mining, system analysis, and methods of statistical data processing. The information base of the study includes official data of international organizations, scientific works of leading foreign and domestic scientists, data of business entities in the retail trade, machine-building complex and sales in the ProZorro system, information from official Internet sites, and the authors' own calculations.
