The purpose of the work is the development of methods for modeling objects and processes of the technosphere, the study of new geometric models of objects and processes, the development of new approaches in order to improve the level of training of students in the discipline "Engineering and computer graphics". The research method is geometric and computer modeling. Traditionally, scientific work at the department was carried out in two main directions: - research of various aspects of modeling, designing and analysis of the geometry of individual parts and assemblies of cars and road equipment, as well as solving specific problems related to this issue; - analysis and improvement of existing means of computer modeling and comprehensive analysis of machine units (units), approaches to the development of appropriate design documentation, as well as development of new algorithms application of existing software. To a large extent, the second direction belongs to scientific and methodical developments, and its direction in many cases is determined by the questions that arise among the students of Khnadu in computer graphics classes, during the preparation of students for all-Ukrainian and international olympiads and competitions, during their performance semester and diploma projects.
