The aim of the work is to find a new method for improving the sorption properties of natural minerals with respect to heavy metals, surfactants and efftrophicating agents in wastewater. Research methods are a review of scientific and technical literature, analysis of methods, means and conditions for improving the sorption properties of natural minerals; analysis of the physicochemical properties of the studied samples before and after irradiation in the field of microwave irradiation, thermal modification and action of metal-containing chemical reagents; testing the sorption capacity of the test samples under different conditions. Methods for improving the sorption properties of various natural minerals were studied, in particular thermal and microwave activation, treatment with chemical reagents. Batches of test samples based on clinoptilolite and glauconite were obtained. Their chemical composition was studied and their sorption capacity for NH4+, PO43-, surfactant, Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions was established.
