An algorithm for determining the stress-strain state of a tape with a longitudinal cut has been developed. The obtained dependencies allow determining the fulfillment of the strength condition for a composite material of finite length with a local violation of the interaction of two adjacent, arbitrarily located reinforcement elements for a given (arbitrary) movement of the ends of the reinforcement elements. The specified strength conditions allow to increase the safety of the use of the material and the life cycle time of products made of composite reinforced material, in particular rubber ropes, tapes.
