The conceptual principles of the formation and functioning of the innovation management system have been formed, covering a set of approaches, tasks, principles, methods, tools, subsystems for ensuring the effective implementation of activities related to the introduction and diffusion of innovations. It has been proven that the innovation management system plays an important role in the modern economic environment. The constituent elements of the organizational and economic mechanism of formation and functioning of subsystems of innovation management, which will ensure its effective implementation, have been determined. The priority directions for improving the efficiency of innovation management subsystems are proposed, the implementation of which will provide an opportunity to ensure an effective process of diffusion of innovative solutions in conditions of uncertainty and risk. The main scientific and methodological provisions and applied results of scientific research were used in the educational process of Dnipro State Technical University in the formation of methodological developments, teaching lectures and conducting practical classes in the following disciplines: "Economics of Innovations", "Innovation Management", "International Economic Relations" , "Business planning" in the preparation of higher education applicants of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels (implementation act dated 24.06.2024 No. 108-08.14/35).
