The purpose of the research work is the experimental approval of the production of experimental samples of biofuel pellets based on the sludge sediments of wastewater of OKVP "DNIPRO-KIROVOGRAD". Currently, the scale of generation and accumulation of various wastes continues to grow, which leads to alienation of new territories and environmental pollution. This also applies to sewage sludge (SWW), which is formed at sewage treatment plants (SWTP) in populated areas and requires treatment and disposal. One of the effective methods of processing SWR can be the production of granulated biofuel from it. For example, the KOS of Kropyvnytskyi discharges 3,600.0 tons of solid waste per year (data for 2022), from which, with a calorific value of 13.0 MJ/kg, it is possible to obtain 2,300.0 tons of conventional fuel. Sludge samples from the DNIPRO-KIROVOGRAD SPP OKVP in the city of Kropyvnytskyi after centrifugation with a moisture content of 75-80% of two types were used for pellet production experiments: raw sludge (No. 1) and excess sludge (No. 2) (in the form of a cake). The experiments were carried out on a specially developed laboratory press device, for the fractographic analysis of the pellet surfaces, an optical-digital unit was used, consisting of: a stereoscopic microscope of the MBS-9 model, a Web camera and a laptop. Since sludge deposits 1, 2 had high moisture content, according to the developed methodology, before making fuel samples from them, preparation was carried out, which consisted in their thermal and mechanical treatment. The prepared sludge had a moisture content of 12-15%, the content of particles with a size of 3.5-5 mm was 60-70%, and the bulk density was within 410-430 kg/m3. From such deposits, when compressed in a press device with a vertical punch and a closed matrix at final pressures of 130.5...217.5 MPa, pellet samples are formed, which have a smooth side surface and a density of 1230-12 Product Description popup.authors Kuzyk Oleksandr V.
