The purpose of the work is to improve the theoretical-methodical and model support for the assessment of the external environment of the enterprise and the development of management scenarios regarding the trajectory of the enterprise's development. Research methods - comparative, systemic, process-functional, conceptual, synergistic, marketing-oriented, taxonomic methods of induction and deduction, dynamic analysis, structural analysis, cluster analysis, spectral analysis. A theoretical and methodological study of approaches to assessing the impact of transformations of the external environment on the development trajectory of the enterprise has been carried out, it provides timely monitoring of the economic behavior of the enterprise, which is determined by the synergistic influence of objective and subjective factors of the internal and external environment and is aimed at achieving the goals of the development of the business entity taking into account its potential and real resource capabilities. The theoretical and methodological support for defining the concepts of the external environment, transformation, influence, trajectory of the enterprise's development has been improved; developed a system of types of transformations of the external environment, determination of primary and secondary effects of transformations; developed an algorithmic model for assessing the impact of a complex external environment depending on foreign trade; practical recommendations on the development of managerial responses to support the rational trajectory of the enterprise's development have been formed.
