Normal human astrocytes were transfected with this construct and stably transfected clones expressing the cytoplasmic fragment of IRE1 were obtained. It has been shown that this genetic construct enhances proliferation processes and increases the expression level of pro-proliferative genes, while the expression level of tumor suppressor genes is suppressed. Testing of new chemical compounds was performed in order to detect IRE1 inhibitors, namely inhibitors of alternative splicing of the transcription factor XBP1. The obtained results indicate the functional activity of the genetic construct we created with the cytoplasmic domain of the ERN1 signaling protein and the possibility of using it to research the molecular mechanisms of malignant tumor growth regulation and find ways to inhibit tumor growth.  Product Description popup.authors Viletska Yuliia M.
