In the Antarctic region, extreme climatic conditions are the most unfavorable, namely: strong wind, significant snowfall and low air temperature. The combination of these factors and their simultaneous influence can lead to damage or destruction of the infrastructure facilities of the Ukrainian Antarctic station Akademik Vernadskyi. One of the infrastructure objects that are most prone to damage and loss of operational characteristics is a vertical steel cylindrical tank. Due to mistakes made during its design, the combined load on it from the above-mentioned climatic conditions can lead to an emergency situation. Therefore, an important task is to protect the tank from the action of external dynamic loads, which will contribute to ensuring the appropriate level of reliability and safe operation of this object of the station's critical infrastructure.
