The subject of research is the influence of anthropogenic factors on river delta formation in the northern part of the Black Sea basin. Research was conducted to detect land cover changes in the rivers’ deltas of the Dnipro, Dniester and Danube under the influence of flow regulation, economic use, and military operations. The dynamics of land cover changes were investigated in the lower Dnieper before and after the Kakhovskaya HPP dam explosion and the descent of the reservoir of the same-name. It is shown that in late June - early July 2023, the territory was covered with a layer of silt, and five months after the disaster, the delta ecosystem was gradually restored. The Dniester River flow regulation by reservoirs is weaker than in the Dnipro River, and seasonal and multi-year flow fluctuations are more significant. However, there is also a clear tendency for overgrowth of delta reservoirs with hygrophytic and hydrophytic vegetation. This process is most active in the upper part of the studied area and at the mouth of the Dniester River. From 1975 to 2023, the hydromorphic landscapes expanded here at a rate of 89.8 hectares per year. Changes in the ecological state of the landscapes of the Danube Delta are largely caused by the agricultural development of new territories, especially in the central part of the delta. Canals and dams are being built, channels are being deepened on large areas of flood plains, which contributes to fodder production, fish farming, reed harvesting, etc. However, such measures cause the drainage of wetlands. In general, the average annual growth rate of land area in the Ukrainian part of the Danube Delta was 84.16 hectares per year. First of all, it is caused by the development of wetland vegetation and the accumulation of organic Product Description popup.authors Ladyka Maryna M. Ladyka Oleksandr V. Piskunova Larysa E.
