Soybeans are in fourth place after wheat, corn and rice in terms of cultivated area and gross harvest. In 2022, more than 1.5 million hectares were sown in Ukraine with soybeans, which is a critical crop for protein supply, and 3.7 million tons of harvest was harvested. Viruses, as one of the factors that reduce the yield of these crops, are gaining more and more importance. At least 145 viruses from 27 groups and 31 unclassified viruses are capable of infecting soybean under natural conditions, and soybean is the natural host for 67 viruses. In Ukraine, soybean viral diseases have been recorded in all regions of its cultivation. The study was conducted for the presence of three soybean viruses (dry seeds and seedlings): Soybean mosaic virus (SMV), Bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV), Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV).
