The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state, trends and prospects of EU-Ukraine integration in the archival sector, to identify common goals of the State Archives and state archival institutions in moving towards the European archival environment, namely, best practices, experience and achievements of the EU countries in the field of archival affairs to determine possible ways of their implementation in the work of archival institutions of Ukraine. The object of the study is the current state and prospects of EU-Ukraine integration. The subject of the study is the main legal acts concerning Ukraine's integration into the EU, the main archival practices of the EU and strategic directions of Ukraine's activities in the archival sector towards integration into the EU. The methodological basis for solving the tasks set out in this paper is the principles of systematicity and complexity, general logical methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, analogy, comparison and generalization. Methods of interpretation and retrospective analysis were used. As a result of the research work, an analytical review “State, Trends and Prospects of EU-Ukraine Integration in the Archival Sector” was compiled.The analytical review includes an analysis of regulatory and other EU documents in the archival sector; a description of the basic principles of EU coordination policy in the archival sector and an overview of major projects aimed at deepening cooperation between national archives; a description of the experience of Poland and Slovenia in integrating the archival system into the EU; and an analysis of the current state of EU-Ukraine integration in the archival sector.Based on the analyzed material, the author identifies possible directions for Ukraine's further integration into the EU in the archival sector and formulates recommendations.
