The subject of the research - "Environment and Energy" - is one of the objectives of the research programmes of the Advisory Council for Aerospace Research in Europe (ACARE), assigned to Ivchenko-Progress SE. The aim of the work is to analyse the technological capabilities of leading aero engine companies to reduce environmental emissions and noise of aircraft and power plant engines, and to assess their technological and market readiness for implementation by 2025 and 2050. Stages of the research work: The work was carried out in 9 stages: 1. Development of the Research Methodology: 1.1. Selection of projects and research initiatives - expert evaluation of research initiatives for all Flightpath 2050 objectives. The PARE project proposal included an analysis of research projects and initiatives at three geographical levels: Europe, national/regional and outside Europe: 1.2. Selection of key performance indicators (metrics) related to research and innovation in the field of aviation safety.
