At the request of the time of Euro-Atlantic integration, taking into account the process of appropriate adaptation of the national society and economy, the first part of the research analyses the trends in the development of the state's defence industry, defines the national approach to the typical content of the processes of changing the state of military samples (products, materials), types and stages of work at the stages of the life cycle during the research, justification of the need to create, develop and produce them, as well as the peculiarities of the approaches of friendly countries in this questions. In the course of further implementation of this research work, the main current regulatory and legal and scientifically authoritative existing scientific and technical sources of information on the definition of terms in the field of development and production of samples of weapons and military equipment were studied. The research work is one of the first attempts to develop a Glossary of Terms on the system of creation and production of military products, types and stages of work at the life cycle stages of WME samples, and the typical content of processes for changing the state of military products (materials).
