The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of the security sector by making data-driven decisions and rationalizing the socio-political discourse on combating crime in Ukraine. The main tasks: a) creation of a web application for working with large data related to indicators of criminal law regulation in Ukraine; b) the development of an educational discipline, the teaching of which will ensure the wide use of our and similar tools. Research methods. To create an analytical platform, the methodology of reproducible research, analysis of user needs, algorithmic data collection and processing, creation of interactive visualizations and dashboards were used. The analysis of crime prevention based on the developed platform was carried out by identifying key trends, data visualization, and interpreting the results in the context of the social discourse on crime prevention. The development of the training course on the use of the platform was carried out in the way of determining the educational goals and needs of the audience, structuring the content, creating interactive educational materials and practical tasks, using active learning methods The CrimeDataLab online platform, which integrates open data on combating crime in Ukraine and contains visual analytics tools, has been developed and made publicly available. An analysis of the effectiveness of national criminal law regulation using the platform was carried out. The experience of creating and using the platform has been transformed into a training course "Criminal Law and Informatization", an interactive educational product for critical analysis of open data on combating crime, crime.
