The theoretical approaches and measures to the revitalization of war-damaged rivers have been developed. A new approach to determining the economic damage caused by military actions to hydroecosystems is proposed. The typology of surface water bodies of the Irpin River basin and reference values of biological indicators of the ecological state have been improved. The approaches to the assessment of the ecological state/potential of the massifs of surface waters of the Irpin River basin were further developed.
