The features of propagation and absorption of slow waves in the plasma of the JET tokamak were investigated by the ray trajectory method. Slow waves are emitted by antennas in the inverse ICRF modes of heating with a small additive or heating with wave conversion. The slow wave rays propagate mainly in a toroidal direction for a distance of up to 6.103 cm along and against the magnetic field direction. Propagating in the peripheral plasma, mainly between the separatrix and the wall, they slowly shift in the poloidal direction and can reach the divertor region. The change in equilibrium of the JET tokamak strongly affects both the propagation and absorption of slow waves. The cyclotron extinction on H and D ions of these waves in the peripheral plasma is very small. The absorption of slow waves is caused by ion-electron collisions and Landau attenuation. In the three-ion heating regimes of small D-3He-H additive ions, the slow waves are strongly attenuated in the cyclotron resonance of 3He ions even at very low additive ion densities.
