This layer of Ukrainian literature is still almost unexplored. The object of the study is the Ukrainian hagiographic, hymnographic, and other literary heritage associated with the veneration of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara in Ukraine. Research methods: stylistic, factual, and statistical analysis of the material and systematization of the results; commentary on the texts. Based on this research, a scientific study on the history of the Barbarian literary tradition was created. Technically, the texts are typed, depending on the source available to the author, either with the UCS font package or in transliteration. This work is the first attempt at a systematic study of the Ukrainian barbarian tradition in hagiographic and hymnographic literature (Akathists), from the lists of the 11th and 17th centuries, as well as the corresponding chronicle material. Most of these materials have not been published or studied in Ukrainian or foreign scholarly literature. The lack of research on this issue has led to the fact that the topic has no historiography as such. The course of various editions of the texts, in particular, those belonging to the prologue editions and the works of the holidays, is investigated. Demetrius (Tuptal). The level of research of these primary sources is so minimal that almost every part contains mostly new material. At the moment, the work is both a product of scientific research and may be the object of further research by other scholars in the future.
