Experimental investigations were conducted on roll-bonded samples with aluminum and copper matrices reinforced with steel meshes of varying configurations. It was found that the mechanical properties of the composite are significantly enhanced when the reinforcing layer occupies more than 20% of the volume. Below this threshold, the mechanical strengthening effect is negligible. A calculation method for the volumetric content of the reinforcing phase was developed. The analysis of technological parameters revealed effective strategies for minimizing component oxidation through specimen sealing and optimizing the rolling temperature to ensure rheological compatibility of the layers. Experimental roll-bonding demonstrated that the primary deformation mechanisms are the stretching of mesh lines in the aluminum matrix and their flattening in the copper matrix. Relationships between deformation hardening and the parameters of the matrix and reinforcement were established. The composite specimens produced using the developed technology exhibited a high degree of cell filling (up to 99.2%) and a significant increase in flexural strength (2.1 times). The proposed technology enables the production of products with mechanically bonded layers, enhancing resistance to delamination and corrosion. The ability to combine layers with different chemical compositions allows for the creation of materials with unique properties, such as high thermal conductivity, decorative appeal, or wear resistance.
