One of its most dangerous manifestations and consequences is the glorification of armed aggression, which serves as an ideological foundation for promoting the narratives of the "Russian world." The project focuses on studying the phenomenon of anti-social glorification and related negative socio-legal phenomena by examining its essence, origins, forms, and consequences, as well as analyzing domestic and international experiences of their manifestation. The project also addresses the issue of criminalizing glorification, its correlation with freedom of speech and other human rights, taking into account international experience and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). It evaluates the effectiveness and adequacy of Ukraine's current criminal legislation in countering the glorification of armed aggression by the Russian Federation and its participants. A distinct area of research involves analyzing the quantitative and qualitative parameters of glorification incidents, studying the most typical methods of engaging individuals in such activities, and identifying categories of people prone to such behavior. The project investigates the motivations behind these activities, assesses the "effect" of glorification, its scale, and the factors influencing changes in the intensity and themes of glorification in relation to the situation in the "theater" of military operations. As a result of the project, a system of criminological and criminal-law measures to counter glorification will be developed. These measures will support the preservation of national unity, prevent mass stigmatization of the population in occupied and de-occupied territories, and combat the spread of Russia's informational expansion in Ukraine, other countries, and the international arena during the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
