The subject of the study is the methodological principles of the economic justification of the optimal method of financing the construction of a solid waste management complex in the city of Odessa. The purpose of this study is to create a transparent mechanism for choosing a method of financing the project of constructing a solid waste management complex in the city of Odessa. In the process of preparing the work, general scientific and special methods of cognition were used: scenario planning, analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, SWOT analysis. The information base of the study was the Laws of Ukraine, scientific works of domestic and foreign economists, practical and regulatory sources, factual materials of regional studies in Ukraine and abroad. The main scientific result of the study is an assessment of the methods of financing the construction project of a solid waste management complex in the city of Odessa. The practical value of the scientific work lies in the fact that the presented methodology is relevant for all economic entities and can be applied in the territory of the city of Odessa and its agglomeration, regardless of the functional use of the facility.
