The purpose of the work is to develop numerical methods for determining the effective characteristics of thermal expansion of fibrous composites. The technical task for the Ukrainian side involves the creation of new methods for designing composite materials with the necessary parameters of anisotropy of physical properties based on the integrated use of numerical methods for analyzing the stress state of structural elements and numerical methods for homogenizing composites. Research methods are theoretical methods for homogenizing thermophysical properties of composite materials, computer methods for studying composite parameters. A method for designing polymer composites with close to zero effective coefficients of thermal expansion has been developed. Micromechanical analysis is performed on a periodically repeating representative volume based on the finite element method. The research was carried out on the example of unidirectional reinforced glass fiber with a square fiber arrangement. A series of numerical experiments was conducted.
