The object of the study is a congenital developmental disorder - gastroschisis in newborns. Purpose - to improve the results of surgical treatment of gastroschisis in newborns, including those from regions adjacent to active hostilities; to study the peculiarities of the course of gastroschisis during military operations. Methods of the study: general clinical, radiological (chest and abdominal radiography, X-ray contrast examination of the gastrointestinal passage, irigography), morphological and statistical methods. The anatomical features of various forms of GS were studied. For the first time in the world, a treatment strategy for GS ‘Surgery of the First Minutes’ was developed and implemented, and on this basis, the tactics of surgical treatment of various forms of GS (isolated, associated, uncomplicated, complicated), including in patients from the territories of active hostilities, were developed. For the first time, the impact of military operations on the outcome of surgical treatment of GS was studied. It was found that during military operations, the pathological course of pregnancy in women with fetal GS prevailed. The condition of newborns with GS, at the 5th minute of their life, during hostilities, was more severe than that of similarly born children in peacetime. It was found that the frequency and average severity of VAD in newborns with GS during hostilities were significantly higher than in the comparison group. It has been proved that surgical treatment of GS associated with meconium ileus is always a multi-stage procedure: placement of a Schuster bag (stage I), placement of a two-barrel divided enterostomy (stage II) and closure of stomas with restoration of gastrointestinal tract patency (stage III). The research results are reflected in 10 printed works. Based on the results of the study, 1 monograph ‘Surgery of gastroschisis’ was published. Product Description popup.authors Dzham Oleh P.
