The object of the study is psychological support for employees and their family members as a direction of psychological support in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The subject of the study is psychological support for family members of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs when reporting the death of a loved one. Research methods are selected based on the defined goals and objectives, taking into account the object and subject: analysis and generalization of scientific psychological literature and regulatory framework on the research problem, synthesis of the information received, content analysis. The results obtained: methodological recommendations have been prepared to study the issues of psychological support for families of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the stage of notification of the death of a loved one. The methodological recommendations present an analysis of such a life trauma as loss. The issues of critical periods, manifestations, and the sequence of stages of experiencing grief are highlighted. The features of psychological support for the process of notifying family members of the loss of a loved one are revealed. Strategies are proposed that will help minimize the consequences of the trauma of loss on the mental health of the individual.
