The object of the study is the psychological study of the objects of the psychological support system. The subject of the study is the Ukrainian-language adaptation of the psychodiagnostic methodology “General Health Questionnaire GHQ-28 items”. The research methods are selected based on the defined goals and objectives, taking into account its object and subject. To solve the tasks set, a complex of complementary theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, generalization, systematization, study and analysis of literature on the research problem and the regulatory framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine), empirical (psychodiagnostic method, expert assessment, semi-standardized individual interviews (to assess the adequacy of the translation for the clarity of questions, the correspondence of the answer options to the content of the questionnaire units) and statistical (analysis according to the ɑ-Cronbach's criterion to determine the internal consistency of the questionnaire subscales; Pearson's r-correlation coefficient to assess the reliability-stability of the subscales and the overall indicator; exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses to determine the internal structure of the questionnaire, assess the degree of its compliance with the author's model; procedures for checking the normal distribution of data) methods was used. Results: methodological recommendations were prepared, which present the “Short General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-16)” as an adapted Ukrainian-language version of the foreign “General Health Questionnaire GHQ-28 items” for the needs of psychologists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
