The main object of the study is the energy and economic efficiency of multiple unit (MU) rolling stock under conditions of uncertainty. The purpose of the study is to create an adaptive framework model that allows to test precision braking systems for different types of rolling stock and incorporate effective algorithmic solutions. The research methodology includes mathematical and simulation modelling of the dynamics of the train movement, as well as optimisation by means of dynamic programming. The proposed model allows to optimise trajectories, minimising energy consumption by integrating precision braking system. The results are of practical importance for transport enterprises in the process of implementing automatic control and braking systems, as well as for improving the efficiency of the existing multiple unit rolling stock.
