Development and testing under the conditions of ANSI-UL 217 (DSTU EN 54-7:2004) of a smoke sensor with a reduced probability of a false alarm from particles of ordinary dust and high humidity, which includes such a smoke sensor, an optical circuit, a working camera and the necessary electronics. popup.description2  Thermocycling tests of the developed surface plasmon photodiodes (SPPDs) were carried out, which showed high stability of electrophysical and photoelectric properties. A slight shift of the resonance maxima of the photocurrent (3 nm in the spectra and 0.2° in the angular dependence) is explained by an increase in the thickness of the oxide layer by 1.6 nm after the tests. An optical scheme of a smoke detector with fixed elements has been developed, which uses two identical sources of linearly polarized radiation. The PPFD-based sensor responds to the adsorption of smoke particles, shifting the photocurrent maximum. A prototype of the detector's sensor camera was created using 3D printing. An electronic board for controlling, amplifying and processing signals has been made. It includes modules for controlling lasers, a sensor, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, and also measures PPFD temperature, photocurrents from lasers, current difference and ambient temperature. Testing of the system in conditions of high humidity showed that heating the PPFD reduces condensation and stabilizes the operation of the detector. Tests of prototypes according to ANSI-UL 217 and DSTU EN 54-7:2004 standards proved insensitivity to dust, moisture and heat-stimulated oxidation of the aluminum grid. Market analysis indicates a significant development potential, as its resistance to false starts exceeds similar products by 70%. By 2032, the smoke detector market will reach $5.5 billion, which makes development promising for the integration of "smart" technologies, remote monitoring, and wireless connectivity. The use of unique properties, such as insensitivity to dust, could secure 10% of the $60 million smoke detector market. Product Description popup.authors Indutnyi Ivan Z. Dusheiko Mykhailo H.
