The work was carried out in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences No. 13/06 dated August 30, 2023. Completion date: January 2024. – December 2024 The purpose of the work is to carry out an ecological assessment of the state of the water ecosystems of the Polissia Nature Reserve Fund with obtaining initial data for the improvement of the ecological monitoring system. The object of the study is the process of monitoring and assessing the ecological state of water in the reservoirs of the HRF.  The subject of the study is the level of water quality assessment under transformational changes for the improvement of the monitoring system. Methods: bibliographic analysis, statistical generalization of data, hydrochemical analysis (potentiometric, photometric, titrimetric, complexonometric). Results - the issue of the influence of transformational changes, in particular climate and military activity, on water ecosystems was studied; hydrochemical monitoring of reservoirs and assessment of water quality in NRF were carried out; experimental materials on climate changes in the studied nature reserves and their impact on water bodies are summarized for the last decade; projections of climate change in the 21st century were analyzed. and their impact on the hydrosphere; proposed climate change adaptation measures; the main risks and consequences for aquatic ecosystems in the NRF during military aggression are presented.
