It was shown that the use of an external pressure of 60 MPa and a temperature of 80 °C allowed to significantly increase the mechanical strength of hardened geopolymer samples from 32 to 42 MPa, which is the main indicator of the quality of protective matrices, as well as to obtain a highly dense structure. A pilot batch of samples of geopolymer matrices with the embedded spent ion-exchange resins was produced using heat treatment under pressure, and the maximum resin loading (20 wt.%) was determined without a significant deterioration in strength and corrosion resistance. Thus, additional heating and pressing allow to produce protective geopolymer matrices with increased physical and mechanical properties compared to those obtained by traditional casting technology.  Product Description popup.authors Svitlychnyi Yevhenii O.
