The purpose of the work is to develop scientifically based proposals for improving the activities of a consulting engineer, making changes to the Model Form of the Agreement on the Provision of Engineering Consulting Services in Construction and developing methodological recommendations for preparing reports during the execution of the agreement. Research methods are general cognitive and formal-logical methods (analysis, synthesis, observation, description, comparison, generalization of information). The result of the study is an analysis of scientific achievements, legislation, domestic experience and best international practices regarding the functioning of the institution of consulting engineers. Scientifically based proposals have been developed for changes to the Model Form of the Contract for the Provision of Engineering and Consulting Services in Construction. Methodological approaches have been substantiated and the structure of Methodological Recommendations for the Preparation of Reporting for the Provision of Engineering and Consulting Services has been proposed. It has been substantiated that the result of the activities of a consulting engineer are services that, unlike works, do not have material expression, are consumed in the process of provision and can be reflected through reporting under the contract, the approaches to the preparation of which are reflected in this report. A draft Methodological Recommendations “Implementation of a Contract for the Provision of Engineering and Consulting Services in Construction.
