An innovative technology for restoring the disturbed earth’s surface based on the formation of a combined backfill mass has been developed and implemented on the example of a selected closed quarry. Technological chains and the sequence of processes for performing backfilling operations have been compiled. The layout of the mobile backfill complex, technological parameters of the processes of preparation, transportation and formation of a combined backfill mass from cemented paste backfill and rock backfill using overburden rocks have been substantiated, taking into account the seasonal approach. An economic assessment of the proposed technology for restoring the earth’s surface based on the formation of backfill masses is provided using the example of the selected closed K.
