It includes handling advanced research in the fields of neuropathology, and developing new therapeutic strategies for treating neurodegenerative diseases. popup.description2  As part of the project implementation at the Bohomoletz Institute of Physiology of the NAS of Ukraine, the "Biomedical Center for Innovative Research in Neuroscience" has been established, with a primary focus on neuroscience. During the first stage of the project, four multidisciplinary research groups were created, focused on analyzing brain functions and disorders. The objectives of this stage were aimed at developing new methods for treating neurodegenerative diseases, which may include advanced pharmacological strategies. Specifically, new data were obtained regarding molecular and cellular changes that affect neuronal activity and behavior, particularly in the context of neurotoxicity and epileptiform activity, as well as the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease.
