The purpose of the work is to carry out a current assessment of the state of the FCM of the SO and the degree of degradation to predict their long-term behavior, to determine the risks of adverse consequences of the deterioration of the FCM condition for the development and implementation of criteria for acceptability/unacceptability of the state of the FCM, to develop organizational and technical measures to prevent or reduce these risks. Research methods – experimental studies: temperature, humidity in the SO, dynamics of volumetric activity, dispersion and radionuclide composition of radioactive aerosol (RA), dynamics of the flux density of the disorganized outlet, density of radionuclide precipitation, dynamics of the behavior of accumulations of radioactively contaminated water (RCV) and their volumetric activity, composition of radionuclides in the RCV, neutron flux density and temperature in the localization zone nuclear hazardous accumulation of FCM, laboratory studies of samples, processing, interpretation and presentation of the information obtained. The results and their novelty – as a result of the work performed, new data were obtained that characterize the current state of the NSC-SO complex. Degree of implementation – the information obtained can be used to justify further studies and recommendations for monitoring the state of radiation and nuclear safety of the educational institution and the development of corrective actions to maintain the required level of safety of the educational institution. Significance of the work and conclusions – the importance of the work is due to changes in conditions and degradation of the FCM over time inside the SO, which can significantly worsen the state of nuclear and radiation safety.
