Subject of research: the interaction of residual stresses caused by the thermal deformation cycle of arc welding with stresses from external cyclic loading in concentration zones and their influence on the parameters of the fatigue curve of butt joints of aluminum alloy AA2219. The purpose of research: development of computational-experimental procedure for determining of the bounded endurance limit of butt-welded joints; construction of the calculated fatigue curve for butt-welded joints of aluminum alloy AA2219, made by TIG. Research methods: Rockwell hardness (scale B) was measured using ROCKWELL device with a 1/16-inch ball diameter under a load of 600 N; the distribution of residual stresses was determined by the method of electronic speckle interferometry with the help of equipment developed at the PEWI of the NASU; stress concentration factors were calculated using the analytical method based on the hypothesis of broken sections; static and fatigue strength characteristics were determined by experimental methods on the MTS 318.25 and nanoBISS test complexes in accordance with international standards. Research results: a calculation-experimental procedure of determining the bounded endurance limit of butt-welded joints is proposed, taking into account the residual stresses in the concentration zones; for the AA2219 alloy, the bounded endurance limit was calculated and the calculated fatigue curve was constructed.
