Karazin Kharkiv National University of the German-Ukrainian Core of Excellence (CoE) "PLASMA-SPIN-ENERGY" (hereinafter - CoE). The project's implementation term on the creation of CoE funded by BMBF is 4 years. During the implementation of the project on the creation of CoE, it is planned to develop new advanced plasma-technological devices, which are expected to significantly improve the controllability of particle and energy flows during magnetron sputtering. Within the limits of this research project, it is envisaged to finance the expenses of the CoE team of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, which are not covered by funding from German partners. The research is planned to be carried out with the use of technological plasma sources previously developed by the authors of the project, which are available at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, but a number of improvements will be made to tune the sources for the specific tasks of depositing ultrathin films for spintronics. In particular, in 2024, it is planned to create a research stand for experimental studies of magnetron discharge plasma, carry out calculations of the distribution of the magnetic field in the MISSS system and magnetron sputtering system, modernize the MISSS system by improving the magnetic system, develop a probe technique for measuring plasma parameters in the presence of a magnetic field, RF interference and intensive deposition of metallic and dielectric coatings on the surface of the probe. popup.description2  The research project is a part of the activities for establishing at V.N.
