The purpose of the work is the peculiarities of changes in the biomechanical parameters of skeletal muscle contraction and biochemical indicators of blood in rats against the background of closed and open mechanical muscle injury of various degrees of severity and the effect of water-soluble C60 fullerenes depending on the dose, way and duration of administration and scheme of application. Research methods are the modeling of closed and open muscle injury of varying degrees of severity, tensometry, biochemical analysis, histological analysis, atomic force microscopy, dynamic light scattering, statistical analysis. Using tensometry, biochemical and histological analyses, the biomechanical parameters of skeletal muscle contraction of rats, biochemical indicators of their blood and the morphology of muscle tissue during experimentally induced closed and open mechanical injury of the skeletal muscle of various degrees of severity (1, 2 and 3) and action of water-soluble C60 fullerenes (C60) depending on dose (0.5, 1 and 2 mg/kg), way (intramuscular, intraperitoneal and oral) and duration of administration and scheme of usage (prophylactic and therapeutic) were studied. So, the analysis of the biomechanical parameters of the contractile process of skeletal muscle during the intramuscular administration of C60 (1 h before the initiation of muscle injury: prophylactic scheme) at the optimal dose of 1 mg/kg revealed its effect at the level of 20±2 % for various degrees of injury severity compared to control, which is confirmed by biochemical blood analysis of experimental animals. It was established that the biomechanical parameters of the amplitude-velocity changes of the force response of the muscle have different sensitivity to the severity of the injury and are built in the following chronological order by the absolute change in value: Fmin→ tmax → Fmax → S → t50 → t0 → tstart.
