The total volume of the scientific work is 288 pages, of which the main text is 249 pages. The object of the research is social relations in the conditions of a special period (Martial Law), which regulate the activities of the National Police of Ukraine in the field of security, defense, law and order. The subject of the research is the study of the peculiarities of the National Police of Ukraine activities under Martial Law. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate the methodology of effective countermeasures against criminal offenses, in particular, under the conditions of the legal regime of Martial Law. The research deals with the revealing the police functions, analyzing the legal framework and developing recommendations for improving the activities of police bodies during crisis situations. The tasks of the research: evaluating the legal support of the National Police activities under the conditions of Martial Law, studying of criminal-legal and criminological measures to combat crime in a special period, analyzing the features of the pre-trial investigation of offenses committed in wartime, formulating the conceptual foundations of the criminal police activities under Martial Law. The methodological basis consists of provisions of Ukrainian legislation that regulate the National Police of Ukraine activities, including the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine «On the National Police of Ukraine» «On Legal Regime Under Martial Law», as well as by-laws. The scientific and practical result of the obtained results is that new models of the organization of police work have been proposed for the effective performance of tasks in crisis conditions.
