The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological foundations and practical recommendations for forming a digital economy as a prerequisite for structural, integration transformations of domestic business processes in the context of globalisation. The study aims to develop theoretical and methodological provisions and tools for the practical implementation of the digital economy and to determine the imperatives of digital transformation of business processes in the context of globalisation. Research methods: analysis and synthesis; induction and deduction; historical and logical, systemic, structural, spatial, statistical, economic, comparative, SWOT analysis; expert assessments, sociological surveys, scenario forecasting; economic and mathematical modeling; graphical. The theoretical significance of the work is to develop imperatives for the digital transformation of national economic systems, regions, cities and enterprises in the context of globalisation and to formulate methodological foundations for the implementation of the smart economy as a driver of digitalisation. The practical significance of the study is to develop tools for implementing the digital economy at the macro- and microeconomic level in the context of globalisation. The reliability and validity of the research results are confirmed by their testing at international and national scientific, scientific and practical events; scientific publications in chapters of monographs, professional publications of Ukraine and foreign publications, including those included in the international scientific and metric databases Scopus and Web of Sciences; use in the practical activities of enterprises, NGOs, and higher education institutions.
