The subject of the research is methodical and pedagogical conditions for the formation of leadership ability in future border guards. The purpose of the work is to analyze and summarize the literature on this problem and direct the teaching of the discipline "Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics" to the use active learning methods, according to the best world and national educational traditions, which will create effective pedagogical conditions for the formation of an active and proactive leader, focused on the creative development of his unit, revealing the potential of an individual, a front-line commander. The following results were obtained in the course of the research work: - the main methodical conditions for the formation of leadership competence of future officers in NADPSU are substantiated; - educational and methodological materials for teaching the course "Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics L-1B" were compiled using active forms and methods of learning with applied tasks of a professional direction, designed to contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the organization of the process of forming leadership qualities in cadets; - it has been proven that modern requirements for the training of future specialists in any field, including in the field of law enforcement, which includes the State Border Service of Ukraine, require the presence of deep knowledge and skills to perform professional tasks. The theoretical significance of the obtained results lies in the improvement of methodical support for the processes of organization and training of the personnel of the State Border Service of Ukraine in the study of the theory of probabilities.
