The role and significance of social and political prerequisites for the development and evolution of organized crime and the formation of a system of law enforcement and judicial bodies designed to counteract this phenomenon are substantiated. The problems of combating organized crime at the current stage of the development of the Ukrainian state are identified, the conceptual principles of the formation of state policy in the field of combating organized crime and corruption are formulated. Theoretical and methodical recommendations have been formulated and substantiated, which can become the basis for the introduction of effective mechanisms for combating organized crime by law enforcement and judicial bodies. The main directions of development of the system of such bodies as a necessary component of prevention and fight against organized crime have been determined, international practice in this field has been analyzed and systematized, methods of combating organized crime in Ukraine have been improved.
