It is shown that the growth rate in the corners of the ingot is approximately in 1.5-2.0 times higher than growth rate of the hard crust thickness along the side surface. It is established that the way and value of possible deformation of hard crust is inversely proportional to its thickness. The hard crust is able to withstand a compression of 37-40% of its thickness. For the first time, it is defined experimentally the direct influence of the frequency of reciprocating shaking of the CCM mold on arising of standing waves on a surface of liquid metal bath. It is determined that for a fixed mass casting rate, there is a range of liquid metal pressure at pouring, which provides optimal dimensions of liquid metal bath and appropriate heat removal conditions. It was investigated the influence of the ingot cooling intensity in the secondary cooling zone on solidification of continuously cast ingot. The critical stresses and deformations were estimated for the effective soft mechanical reduction of ingot in the final zone of the CCM. For the first time, there were methodologically substantiated the criterial parameters, and, for the parameter "Penetration of deformation into internal layers of ingot", the complicated experimental study was performed. It is formulated the unified complex approach to designing the technological support for quality control of rolled metal products. It is studied the effect of processing of solidifying metal by alternating electromagnetic fields that generate vibration in the melt.
