To achieve this goal, the study carried out a retrospective review of collaborationism as a special socio-political phenomenon that has emerged in Ukraine since the beginning of the occupation of its territory (2014-2022); analysed the establishment of an autonomous basis for criminal liability for collaborative activity against the background of new challenges and threats to Ukraine's security (since the beginning of the full-scale invasion); the author's understanding of collaborative activity as a criminal offence encroaching on the national interests of the State is developed, and a classification of such activity is proposed; the objective and subjective features of the criminal offence under Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are analysed, and its correlation with other criminal offences is demonstrated; the criminal law consequences of collaborative activity under the Criminal Code of Ukraine (criminal liability for this offence and release from it) are studied; proposals are made and substantiated to optimise the legislative description of the collaborative activity as a criminal offence against the foundations of national security of Ukraine, with a focus on the development of the author's versions of the dispositions of the Criminal Code provisions that are proposed to be used instead of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
