The object of research is medicinal plants of the flora of Ukraine and introducers - carriers of biologically active compounds, as the basis for the creation of modern natural therapeutic and preventive phytopreparations. An informational and phytochemical screening of medicinal plants was carried out for the content of flavonoid compounds (catechins, anthocyanins, leucoanthocyanins, tannins, polysaccharides), vitamin complex (ascorbic acid, carotenoids, chlorophylls), polysaccharides. The main groups of biologically active compounds that exhibit a versatile pharmacological effect, which were studied in various organs of plants (leaves, flowers, roots) of the Asteraceae family, genus Cotoneaster. It was established that the studied plant species and varieties of the genus Cotoneaster accumulate versatile complexes of biologically active compounds, promising for the creation of innovative phytopreparations for targeted use. Practical developments on these issues are reflected in scientific works and in the form of patents for a useful model. Based on the results obtained, three Declarative patents for a useful model were filed: “Plant remedy with antimicrobial action” (No. u 2024 03217 dated 06/18/2024), “Vegetable oil blended based on sea buckthorn fruit oil” (No. u 2024 05234 dated 11/05/2024), “Method of preparing the insectacaricidal preparation “ARTEDOC” (No. u 2016 00375 dated 04/10/2024).
