The purpose of the study is to investigate the priority issues of development of political and administrative processes in the context of dynamic challenges and threats to Ukraine and the Eastern European region and to develop scientific and practical recommendations for domestic state authorities and local self-government institutions in the Chernivtsi region based on the scientific results obtained. The methodological basis of the work is based on the use of modern methods of social and managerial sciences. The research work is based on the scientific approaches of system analysis, structural functionalism, and the methodologies of neo-institutionalism, social constructivism and other modern scientific approaches. Among the methods widely used by the researchers of the topic, apart from some general scientific methods, it is worth noting the methods of statistical analysis, discourse analysis, comparative methods, and case study methods. In general, the authors used both theoretical and empirical methods in their research, trying to balance and adequately combine quantitative and qualitative methods of modern scientific research, in particular those inherent in political science and public administration. Results and novelty This study has yielded significant theoretical and practical results. They are reflected in a number of monographic publications, as well as individual scientific publications indexed in internationally recognised databases, as well as in domestic professional publications in political science and public administration.
