The emphasis is on multidimensionality, the use of subjective and objective indicators and the shortcomings of GDP per capita as an indicator. The need to distinguish between economic well-being and economic welfare is substantiated. The mechanism of the influence of monetary policy on economic welfare is developed with a focus on its distributional effects. The features of expanding the mandate of central banks in the interests of ensuring economic well-being are revealed. A trend analysis of economic welfare in Ukraine is conducted, covering issues of income, expenses, savings, debt burden, consumption, investment, income inequality, unemployment and poverty. Based on correlation and regression analysis, it is established that households react more to changes in the exchange rate and deposit yields than to inflation risks in the short term. A methodological approach to calculating the index of economic welfare taking into account monetary policy is proposed, the essence of which is to create an aggregate indicator that integrates variables divided into three hierarchical groups that reflect the sequential impact: from monetary policy to its socio-economic consequences, demonstrating how changes at each level affect the next.
