The channels of influence of monetary policy on economic inequality are characterized. The specifics of the influence of state social transfers on economic inequality are determined. The influence of tax policy on economic inequality and the main levers of fiscal policy aimed at reducing inequality are disclosed. A historical analysis of the concept of the middle class is conducted; the key factors of its formation and measurement criteria are highlighted. The impact of digitalization on reducing economic inequality is substantiated by analyzing the theoretical foundations of the relationship between the digital economy and inequality. As a result, methodological and practical recommendations are given for measuring economic inequality, exploring the impact of monetary and fiscal policies, and defining the middle class; it is found that the impact of social transfers on economic inequality in Ukraine corresponds to theoretical expectations, and digital inequality is defined as a factor of income level using the example of regions of Ukraine.
