The object of the study the activities of authorized entities and participants in criminal procedural evidence collection, examination, and use in criminal proceedings. The subject of the study is modern technical-forensic means of proving in criminal proceedings. The purpose of the study is to develop scientifically grounded theoretical provisions regarding the essence and legal framework of modern technical and forensic tools for evidence collection, as well as to formulate forensic recommendations for their most effective application in the activities of collecting, examining, and using evidence in criminal proceedings. The research tasks include: clarifying the essence and classifying technical-forensic tools means of proving in criminal proceedings; determining the legal (procedural) framework for their application; clarifying the essence and formulating practical recommendations for the application of modern technical-forensic tools in prooving. The normative basis comprises the provisions of Ukrainian legislation regulating the activities of pre-trial investigation bodies, the prosecution, courts, including the Constitution of Ukraine, the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and subordinate legislation. The scientific and practical significance of the research lies in the fact that, that the study highlights the essence of modern technical and forensic tools for evidence collection, their legal (procedural) framework for application, and provides specific practical recommendations for the use of advanced technologies in detecting, preliminary examination, and recording evidence. The research is concluded with the preparation of a teaching and methodological manual "Modern Technical-Forensic means of proving in criminal proceedings".
