The aim of the third stage of the research: enhancing the antimicrobial effects of phytocompounds against resistant pathogens. Research methods: phytochemical methods of plant analysis, green synthesis methods of silver nanomaterials, infrared spectroscopy, UV-spectroscopic analysis, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, microbiological disk-diffusion method for studying the antibacterial activity of plant extracts, statistical methods. A green synthesis of silver nanoparticles was carried out using an aqueous extract from Chaenomeles leaves as a biological matrix, and their conjugates with the antibiotic ceftriaxone were obtained. It was found that the nanomaterials Ch. speciosa-AgNPs, Ch. cathayensis-AgNPs, and Ch. japonica-AgNPs exhibit significant activity against the phytopathogenic fungus Fusarium culmorum compared to the fungicide "Quadris". Deformation of F. culmorum hyphae in the form of distortions and expansions, as well as a reduction in the density of hyphae under the influence of Ch. speciosa-AgNPs and Ch. cathayensis-AgNPs particles, was observed. Dose-dependent inhibition of the bacterial strain Pseudomonas aeruginosa by Ch-AgNPs and Ch-AgNPs-Cfx, which exceeded the activity of ceftriaxone, was detected. The research results can be used in the healthcare system for developing means to counteract multiple resistance of pathogenic microorganisms, as well as to enhance and preserve the activity of common antibiotics, which is part of the overall strategy to overcome antibiotic resistance for military and civilian medical needs.
